Announcements & To Dos

Progress Reports.  Progress reports will be going out on Monday via email to students and families, along with directions for logging into SyncGrades.  There are no students who continue to remain unlinked to their uai gmail accounts.  If they have not yet joined your Google CLassroom, please track them down individually to make sure they do.  As a reminder -
  • Please make sure you only have two categories:  Progress & Performance and that those are weighted 30% Progress and 70% Performance in Google Classroom, and that you have turned ON your weights in the Google Classroom settings.
  • Please make sure that you have turned all missing assignments to 50 and have unassigned any excused assignments.
Per Session Due.  The last day of this last Per Session period was Friday, 15OCT23.   As per the agreement with the consultation committee, Per Session sheets will be due at 3PM on 17OCT23 (2 days after the close of the period).  Dai's message is an auto-send message (I think) and she'll be updating that soon!  I will be asking Dai for a complete list of folks her submit their per session late (after 3PM on Tuesday 17OCT23).  Please do not be late.  Folks her are late two or more times can be blocked from being eligible to work ANY other per session activities for the remainder of the school year.

Don't want to be late?  Here's what you can do
  • Set a recurring reminder on your phone that goes off during your lunch or prep time, 1 day after per session closes (per session closes on the 15th and last day of each month).
  • Set a second reminder on your calendar to make sure you completed the per session sheet on time and no later than 2 days after the close of the period.
  • I appreciate folks taking the necessary steps to get their per session in on time - Thank you!!!

PD Calendar.  This Monday we're giving PD time back to planning teams to use to catch up, work on their Google Classrooms, and/or get head in the planning.  Next week, we'll be launching our first round of Equity Team Circles
  • 16OCT23 - Independent Work Time
  • 23OCT23 - Equity Team Circles
  • 30OCT23 - Class Rubrics
  • 07NOV23 - Subject Team Benchmark Grading & Analysis
  • 08NOV23 - Election Day PD (Circles, Benchmark Analysis, Progress Monitoring on Goals)

Weekly Outreach Log Checks.  The next rounds of outreach log checks will be going out Monday.  These will be for the weeks  25SEP-01OCT and 02OCT-08OCT.  Please remember to update the outreach log by midnight tonight for this weeks' outreach.   Lots of GREAT improvement this week!  Thank you, folks!!

The week of outreach always goes from Monday through Sunday.  As a reminder,  you MUST document all 55 minutes of remote time.  I'll be checking the log twice a month.  The next check will be on 28OCT.

Office Hours.  Any student who is not earning >75 in your class should be told to attend your office hours.  Please make sure you are reaching out to homes to let them know about the Office Hours and to let families know about the current level of performance in your class.   Please make sure to indicate that you have successfully made contact and communicated with families about progress and office hours in the outreach log.   In the next outreach log check, I'll be looking for those notes!

Duties include making sure
  • students remain safe and orderly during games
  • only eligible students are admitted to games
  • all students fully dismiss from the building at the conclusion of the games

CSI Planning & Supervision.   Posting Expires 10OCT23. This posting if for supervision per session to plan, supervise, monitor and coordinate extra improvement efforts to address UAI achievement gaps and improve student performance in target metrics.  Activities include analyzing and reviewing data, planning and executing professional development experiences to improve staff performance, analyzing and editing video footage to improve teacher lesson execution and lesson implementation, and supervising out of school activities - including recruitment, staff planning, and after school activities.  Hours vary per week depending on task and work completed.  Hours range 1-7.5 hours per week.
