Announcements
What an AWESOME week! Last week was super active. Nina and Tom took our Running Club for their first race on Randall's Island; Jen pulled off our very first 8th grade Prom with style and panache, and Kelly wrapped up a fantastic year of assemblies with our annual College Walk! Way to go UAI!!
The Chancellor is Coming to Visit UAI! Last week, I received a phone call from our Superintendent asking to visit on Friday, June 14th. I'm seeing Fred at the Affinity Principal's retreat on Monday, so I will confirm details and share the agenda for the day as soon as I can. I do know that we will be visiting Middle School classrooms during 2nd period, so please use PD time this week and next to prepare classroom and hallway bulletin boards. HS teachers you'll be giving course final exams, however, we will be touring the school, so please prepare hallway bulletin boards (post work that celebrates student achievement!). It is not the most ideal time, but we are always awesome, and I am proud of all the hard work each of you do every single day. I am always happy to share it with anyone at any time!
Speaking of HS Final Exams. High School Final exams will be on Thursday 13JUN19 and Friday 14JUN19. We will not be having a special schedule on those days. Rather the final exams will happen during the regular class period on assigned days. All 8th Earth Sci/CC Algebra/Living Env. and all HS students must take a final in your course. If you are a regents-based course, modify a regents exam to give them during your class time (E.g. either the MC or Short Answer/Essay).
